I LOVE shooting stills for photo films, they can quickly convey the unique attributes of any business and generate results that are compulsive viewing.
Seamlessly combining powerful audio and imagery with an intuitive soundtrack will produce a strong proposition and create something highly personal, very informative and ultimately persuasive.
Merge the talents of an award-winning photographer with a Sony award-winning DJ and you have access to two creative individuals that have years of unique commercial experience + Expertise.
Video on websites help attract traffic, as certain web engines factor in the presence of video when ranking websites, this can only be a good thing. Video is also a unique and wonderful way to convey real personality and expertise. It’s perfect for a variety of businesses from sole traders, large corporations, to universities and major brands.
I’ve been working with Trevor Marshall, MD of This Is My Film for a long time, he’s an award winning dj (2x Gold Sony Radio Awards) and has got a brilliant way with people, always putting them at ease whilst interviewing them, trust me ~ it’s a real gift.
How Does it Work?
Trevor interviews key people (staff, customers, suppliers), I listen to the audio with him and we can then tailor a shoot to coincide with the points raised in the audio. Trevor might also choose to shoot some video whilst I photograph the interviewee(s), products, the working environment (workshops, offices, warehousing etc) and details that make all the difference but could be overlooked, signs of true craftsmanship, working relationships, examples of great teamwork etc.
I’m always searching for a v special image that will re-iterate/convey something that is directly referred to in the audio. When the audio is listened to and you view a corresponding image, it really does hit home.
Trevor then combines the best imagery (stills + video), selects the most appropriate music (from his extensive library) and once approved the resulting photofilm can be streamed onto websites & associated media.
The Benefits of a Photofilm rather than a Video.
Existing & potential customers are used to watching video and can metaphorically ‘switch off’ during normal playback. Photofilms keep the viewer actively engaged especially as it combines audio, high quality stills, music and short bursts of video, all of which help to bring a company alive.
